Article from WPTV.com-The population of Boca Raton has increased by eighty. The Tri-County Humane Society just got back from tornado-ravaged Oklahoma. Staffers on a rescue mission brought back eighty animals, 64 dogs and sixteen cats. It was a twenty-two hour trip and they stopped multiple times along the way. Many of the animals have ticks and fleas and a few of them show signs of abuse. The animals were brought to South Florida from shelters in Oklahoma to make room for animals who were made homeless by the storm. “It says for the human spirit that we all have a heart,” said Vladimir Delva of the Tri-County Humane Society. “We are able to touch people anywhere in the country, it doesn’t have to be our neighbor, it can be our neighbor all the way across the states.” The hope is to spend the next week rehabbing them and have them ready for adoption in Boca Raton.

Any type of donations including food, gloves, paper towels, garbage bags, linens, and monetary donations are greatly appreciated.
